Let it be known, that I have the most amazing husband ever!
He upgraded me to business class on the flight home, and even declined his 1st class upgrade in order to sit next to me! It was such a relaxing flight, and I slept a lot. It was nice to be able to exit the plane at the same time, and not have him waiting for me. Everything went smoothly on the way out of the airport, and even managed to grab a Dodge Challenger as our rental car.
New Year's Eve at our house was a total success. We were able to see family and friends and enjoy our night. We also had tons of food, thanks to my mom and mother in law. Pizza, Italian beef, sausage and green peppers, appetizers... the works. Not as crazy as past years have been, but it was a perfect way to end 2014 and begin 2015.
We celebrated our Christmas' a bit late this year, but it was well worth the wait. Well, William couldn't wait and wanted to open our presents from his family right away, that NYE night. So we did, and we were also spoiled rotten with candy and lots of goodies in our stockings. I'm so thankful to have a great family that I married into.
But we didn't just have one Christmas to celebrate. We also celebrated with my mom and my siblings this past Saturday. Once again, so much food to go around, including some great Philippine dishes from my brother's girlfriend. And when it came to open gifts, the presents were never ending! I'm still putting away everything from both Christmas'. We also played games as a family, and that always brings out some laughs.
This week has been pretty relaxing. Lots of reading and keeping warm on the couch while Chi-beria Part 2 sets in outside. But I think the weather is just preparing us for our next assignment in Russia.
We are getting our Russian Visas this week, and plan on leaving for Russia around the 13th of January. Which is crazy to think it's just about a week away.
Really good stuff Terese, and a great idea. Looking forward to reading more about your an Bill's adventures.
